Hope Perches

This is the sample card I made for the Hope You Can Cling To challenge I'm hosting at Splitcoaststampers called Hope is the Thing - to be inspired by the poet Emily Dickinson:
Hope is the thing with feathers
that perches in the soul
and sings the tune without the words
and never stops at all.
I used a Papertrey Ink cloud to make the sponged sky and to make the sun cut a  circle Nestie  from a post-it-note - you need to use both the positive and negative die-cut for a scene like this, sponging the pink inside the circle of the negative die-cut.
When stitching layers of dp, I generally stitch them onto a separate panel than the card base, attaching it afterwards, sometimes popping it up as I did here.  It just means there's no unsightly "backside" of stitching showing when you open the card.
