I thought it might be fun to revisit a card or two that I submitted as a Dirty
Dozen designer at Splitcoaststampers a few
years ago. We have a commitment not to use them on blogs, etc. for at
least six months but that time is well up! Our theme was to create cards about
those who have inspired or influenced us and I chose to make a card honouring
my Mum who instilled in me a deep love of reading and books from a young age.
Here'a a photo I found of the two of us!

This image used on this card is called Book Time, it's a digi from
A Day for Daisies and it's coloured with copics.
The dp is from October afternoon. I added some matching
beads to the twine as finishing touches.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Such a sweet card Bridget. Love the inspiration photo. What a perfect image. The beads look great!
What a pretty card! Great design and colors. I like how you used the beads in the corner of the card. Great idea! I think I need to take a second look at all those beads that I have been hoarding (actually not knowing what to do with them)
Great pic of you and your Mother...My mother was the one who inspired me to read too. She seemed to always have a lot of books around for me to read...they were often my Christmas or birthday present to me from her.
