White as Snow

My card isn't white other than the card base but it's certainly got snow!
I have to admit you probably won't see a scene like this in Northern Ireland,
but I grew up in Alaska in the U.S. and my family still live there.
I remember a certain glow on clear freezing mornings - just as
dawn was breaking, yet there were still stars in the sky - and
that's the look I was aiming to capture here.
I used the beautiful Flourishes Snow Scenes set - love those silhouettes and sentiments!
All kinds of things were added to this card - ribbon, twine, tag,
punched snowflakes, and die-cuts - but every time I ended up taking it all off,
happier with the clean simplicity of being "embellishment free"  - it just
seemed to fit the serenity of this scene!
I used a variety of inks with a sponge and post-it-notes to create the snowbanks and sky.
The card was finished off by adding some stars - or they could be snowflakes
if you like - with Ranger Enamel Accents,
and popped up the whole panel on a white card base.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
Now it's time to head on over to England to visit Sasha's blog for more fabulous inspiration!

Absolutely beautiful, I grew up in Northern MN and I had forgotten about those glowy looking mornings with the snow so sparkly. Great job.

You definitely didn't need further embellishments - - the sponging and coloring of the snow mounds and the sky is dramatic enough. (And took a lot of effort, I'm sure.) I love the final product - and I've never attempted the equivalent.
