A Note to Say

A card for the current CASE Study Challenge #197 - I love orange paired
with gray or black for a sharp contrast, so when I saw the talented Pamela Ho's
design below, I knew I had to give it a go!
I'm also entering the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge!

I made some "stencils" with post-it-notes and Nestie circles, then sponged
with Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Scattered Straw and
Spiced Marmalade ink.  I added some notes from CASual Friday's Love Notes,
a sentiment from WPlus 9 Hand Lettered Hello, a border with a fine line
black marker, and then a few black sequins for the finish.
I'm into those black sequins at the moment!
I had fun with this one -
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

SNSS June 2014 Release

Hello and welcome to Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps June 2014 Relealse.
It's a smaller release this month but we have two fabulous and versatile stamp
sets and a matching die set!  The design team have been
having a lot of fun with the sets,
so hop along and talke a look at what they've come up with!

Birthday Word Art

The 13 large sentiments in this set are perfect for mixing and
matching on your birthday cards for friends and family!

The first card uses SNSS Pennants and More dies with scraps of dp.
The backround is done with stencils using Stampin
Up Blushing Bride and Ranger Distress Scattered Straw ink.
I added Studio Calico Wood Veneer birds and buttons to embellish.

For the second card I used watercolor paper, stencils and sponging to create
the coloured panel.  The numbers are such a fun addition to this stamp set,
there are so many fab things you could do with them!
Take a look at the full set and details below:

The next set is What's Up with coordinating What's Up Dies.

My card has a stenciled background using Stampin Up Cool
Caribbean ink along with somepaint splats using SNSS Grunge Elements
and SU Blushing Bride ink. I added some Studio Calico Wood Veneer
arrows to the fun arrows creatd using the What's Up stamps and dies.

Love You

Hello!  It's been a wee while since I've posted as my sister from Minnesota
was here visiting for 9 days - we don't get to spend much time together so
I put card making to the side in order to spend every available minute with
her to talk, laugh, drink coffee, sight see, and pray together - so much fun!
But today I've made a card for the Featured Stamper challenge over at
Splitcoaststampers which I'm hosting  - we're
CASEing Katlyn Traxler, aka K. Joy this week
and HERE is the lovely card from her gallery which inspired me.
This is also for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Anything Goes
and the Less is More Challenge: Watercolour.
I masked a panel across the card with tape and then painted in with a
brush rainbow colours using Ranger Distress ink
Nothing like rainbow colours to cheer me up!
The bird is a die-cut using Impression Obsession Sea Birds and the
"you" is cut four times and layered using a Simon Says Stamp You die.
The "I LOVE" sentiment is from CASual Fridays Love Notes set.
I added a few clear sequins to finish.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful Sunday.

Butterfly Prayers

Just a quick clean and simple card for Monday using a
Marianne Creatable Butterfly die along with some
Basic Grey Knee Highs dp strategically placed in the background.
I added a black button with white twine
for the butterfly center and a doodled black frame.
Love this sentiment which is a Verve Plain Jane
stamped with Color Box Black Licorice ink -
if I get a card letting me know someone is praying for me,
I'm encouraged and uplifted for sure!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Pink Stripes, Gold Feathers

A card for today's Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoaststampers with a
colour combo I've been wanting to try lately - magenta pink and gold.
Laurie, aka lhs43, is our inspiration this week and
HERE is the lovely card from her gallery which I chose.
I created the stripes by temporarily attaching the panel to lined
writing paper and then using the lines to position masking tape,
sponging with Ranger Distress Picked Raspberry.
I saw this great idea on Laura Bassen's blog, Doublestick Heaven!
The feathers from Waltzingmouse Fine Feathers are gold embossed
on vellum and the "hello" (Wplus9 Hand Lettered Hello Die)
has been embossed with several layers of gold.
I added some brushed gold brads and gold cord to finish.
Thanks so much for stopping by today, have a wonderful Sunday!
